On the Field

Concussion in sport is currently one of the hot topics in sports medicine. Gaining a better understanding of how to recognize concussions, treat concussions, and what are the long term effects of concussion is the focus of many sports medicine clinicians and researches. This unit will explore mild traumatic brain injury (MTBI) and some common injuries to the head and face. I cannot think of a more important structure to protect than our brain. I hope you enjoy this material.
