Memory Cloth — Racine Flag
My Grandfather donated the flag to the Racine zoo. So every time we went to the zoo we made a pilgrimage to look at the flag first, then we’d get to see some animals.
When I stayed by myself with Aunt Mae I could walk to the beach. That was exciting. The ice cream store was one block from Grandpa’s house. They put “jimmies,” chocolate sprinkles, on the ice cream cones.
