Memory Cloth — Princess
We would spend summers in Door County at the Canal house. It was an old farm house belonging to my Grandfather.
It had all our old furniture. We loved it.
When I was 9, I got to sleep on the TOP bunk. I was thrilled.
The next day I was on the bottom bunk, looking up at the mattress ticking between the wire supports. I was shocked to see a baseball bat there.
Horrified, I realized I was NOT a princess.
