Thanks for mentioning VONA! I make it a point to reach out to organizations like the Carl Brandon Society, the Asian American Writers Workshop, and so forth when I am seeking new writers, because part of my imprint's mission is to discover new writers of color and they don't always know we're looking for them. We do that formally with the New Visions Award, but when I sent out calls for submissions I actively reach out to those groups as well. Glad to have a new one to put on the list for next time. :)
