Well, there's quite a bit of humor in "If I Ever Get Out of Here" too. I especially loved the relationship between Lewis and his Uncle Albert. And music provided a bridge between Lewis and George's father, as well. I loved the scene where Mr. Haddonfield lent him his Paul McCartney LP, much to George's surprise.

I think music also helped Lewis understand his world. The most obvious example I can think of was the recurring image of the red planet and the yellow planet, from the "Venus and Mars" song by Paul McCartney and Wings.
