I can see from some of the posts over the weekend that folks are eager to start discussion of "If I Ever Get Out of Here," by Eric Gansworth.
Debbie Reese posted a link to this interview with Eric Gansworth: http://campbele.wordpress.com/2013/11/11/male-monday-eric-gansworth/
And also a link to a Discography for the book that the author himself put together: http://www.ericgansworth.com/ifievergetmusic
The discography brings us to an important part of the book: the music! As a big Beatles fan, Ed Sullivan has already made a comment on this subject a few days ago, in reference to the whole "Paul is dead" conspiracy theory that the books main character, Lewis, and his friend George get caught up in.
What are your thoughts about this aspect of the book? Why do you think the author chose the Beatles (and Paul McCartney & Wings) as a touchstone for his characters?
