In 2012, Tim organized a panel for the ATALM (that's the Association of Tribal Archives, Libraries, and Museums) conference in Tulsa. He invited me, Susan Hanks, and Teresa Runnels to be on it with him. Susan is a librarian in California. Teresa is in Tulsa.
The panel was our attempt to create a "Top 100" list of books by Native writers. Looking through Tim's twitter feed this morning, I see one I missed in which he asked me to post the list to CCBC-NET. But, I don't think the listserv server will allow attachments. So--write to me or Tim and we'll send it to you.
We called it a Top 100 but couldn't keep it to 100. It isn't just children's/YA lit. And--it is a 2012 list. We'd add several, including Tim's two new books (Ghost and House of Purple Cedar) and Eric Gansworth's If I Ever Get Out of Here.
