> This is tangential, but related, so I hope you'll humor me. I wanted to draw your attention to an essay that was published today by the Medieval POC Tumblr blog, weighing in on a growing Internet debate over the new movie FROZEN, Disney's take on Hans Christian Anderson's popular fairy tale, "The Snow Queen": http://ebonyteach.tumblr.com/post/76888826052/hopeless-hyperbole-the-internet-debate-over-disneys
Of course, it's Hans Christian ANDERSEN. I know how to spell that famous name, and glancing over my post, I see all kinds of other lapses (which occur when typing and posting very quickly -- I always feel guilty when I am reading my children's lit listservs instead of writing!).
I do hope you'll forgive those and check out the links anyway. Depending upon where you fall on these matters, this phenomenon is either fascinating or frightening (or perhaps both). And Malisha is far more eloquent than I am when it comes to cutting right to the heart of the matter.
