I took a look at the 2013 log and found only one book by Joseph Bruchac this year. (There have been years where his books account for about 50% of the books by Native authors.)
Interestingly, all but one of the Native authors/illustrators (including Joseph Bruchac) were published by small presses in 2013. Eric Gansworth's "If I Ever Get Out of Here" was the only one published by one of the large publishers (Arthur A. Levine/Scholastic).
We, too, are looking forward to discussing 'How I Became a Ghost" by Tim Tingle and "If I Ever Get Out of Here" by Eric Gansworth later in February. if you ahven't done so already please find them and read them.
Cheers, KT
