The answer is probably no to this, but I'm wondering if CCBC has looked at the proportion of multicultural titles published by independent presses vs. those coming from corporate-owned publishers. It seems to me that indies tend to publish more multicultural books. Lee &Low is, of course, an indie focused entirely on multicultural publishing. I also noticed that it seems like Canadian publishers tend to have a larger share of multicultural titles on their lists than American publishers. Groundwood is one that immediately comes to mind.

As KT Horning mentioned in her earlier post, the CCBC compiles statistics annually on books published for children and teens by and about people of color.  Our count is based on the books we receive each year, which is most but not all of the books published by trade publishers in the U.S.   Our numbers for 2013 (see below) showed a few increases, particularly in books by and about American Indians, and some decreases, especially in books with significant content that was African or African American and Asian/Pacific or Asian/Pacific American.

We received approximately 3,200 books at the CCBC in 2013. Of those,
93 books had significant African or African American content

67 books were by Black authors and/or illustrators

33 books had American Indian themes, topics, or characters

18 books were by American Indian authors and/or illustrators

58 books had significant Asian/Pacific or Asian/Pacific American content

85 books were by authors and/or illustrators of Asian/Pacific heritage

57 books had significant Latino content
48 books were by Latino authors and/or illustrators

For comparison, here were the numbers for 2012:

We received approximately 3,600 books at the CCBC in 2012. Of those,

119 books had significant African or African American content
68 books were by Black authors and/or illustrators
22 books had American Indian themes, topics, or characters
6 books were by American Indian authors and/or illustrators
76 books had significant Asian/Pacific or Asian/Pacific American content
83 books were by authors and/or illustrators of Asian/Pacific heritage
54 books had significant Latino content
59 books were by Latino authors and/or illustrators
