The children in my elementary school library used to call nonfiction "true books"...but, I think any other name would still smell as sweet... :)

Marc Aronson's concluding remark makes me think: Is it time for another de bate on this perennially unsatisfactory term "nonfiction"? It's such a clu msy, negative, non-suggestive term . . . yet I can't think of anything bett er as a comprehensive category.
