Apologies if I offended anyone! I just know how excited kids are about the new book (I've gotten any requests for materials to use in programming), a nd it's rare for people to be able to see Rick speak live, so thought it wa s worth sharing.

If I am out of line here, I hope someone will tell me so, but it seems to me that this post (Just under a week...etc) is more like a come-on adverti sement than the kind of announcements that are appropriate for the first da ys of the month on the CCBC list. I don't mean to be an old curmudgeon--I l ike Riordan's books, and I'll probably like and read this one, but somehow it rubbed me wrong to read this post on this site. "Just saying."
