PEN American Center has posted new podcast conversations with children's and young adult book authors.

Recorded at the Brooklyn Book Festival in September, Rebecca Stead and Michelle Knudsen discuss knowing what to write next, finding that missing piece of a novel, and knowing when to ask for feedback.

Also recorded at the Brooklyn Book Festival, Mitali Perkins, Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich and Susanna Reich discuss writing about social misfits, finding your audience, how writing biographies is similar to writing across cultures, and writing to learn.

And in honor of Banned Books Week, a conversation with Robie Harris , Carolyn Mackler , and Peter Parnell about their books, book banning, and self-censorship. Moderated by author, educator, and physician Perri Klass .
