The CCBC-net community is invited to the presentation of the Americas Award for Children's and Young Adult Literature on Saturday, October 23, at the Library of Congress, Washington, DC (10am, Madison Bldg, Mumford Room, 6th floor).
If you live in the Washington, DC area, it's a wonderfully opportunity to hear authors Carmen Tafolla and Julia Alvarez and illustrator Magaly Morales and to celebrate their books, What Can You Do with a Paleta?/Que puedes hacer con una paleta? (Tricycle Press, 2009) and Return to Sender (Knopf, 2009).
