Ammendment to previous post "VERY Dark Materials"

P.S. In rereading the post I wrote (received in Digest form), I need to amend a statement: I wrote "I thought that Mary Malone's explanation of why she left Christianity was brief, almost thrown together..." What I meant was not that her explanation of why she left Christianity was brief, but that her explanations of what she perceived as Christianity seemed almost to come out of nowhere. (I.e. we hear about Jesus for the first time, and only as a passing comment.)

That's all! I am enjoying reading everyone's thoughts and reactions to the trilogy, by the way. Each time I read HIS DARK MATERIALS, I find more and more layers of meaning, not unlike reading the aleithiometer. It is exciting to be able to discuss the trilogy with others!
