Sanctuary Quilt

I had noticed the interesting shapes my daughters had left on the floor when they were cutting out doll clothes. When I picked them up I had beautiful little collages on my hand. I couldn't throw them away, so I sewed them onto different width, translucent ribbons. Some have beads added. They look like confetti thrown into the air that stuck. I have sewn them into a quilt, three translucent layers together. As the backing and the filling I've used a piece of wedding veil that I tied hundreds of crystal seed beads onto with different colored threads. It has become a magical and celebratory piece that can be viewed from both sides.
