Memory Cloth — Borrowed Skirt

Mom used to say always take a party dress and a swim suit when you go on a visit - just in case.

At Aunt Lena's in Baileys Harbor
I hadn't even brought a skirt, so
I had to borrow one for the Fourth of July dance.  

It was way too long. 

Afterwards walking home with a cute boy
my shadow in the streetlight
was HUGE.
