Statement: Art is central to my soul. With some rebellion toward the modern myth that faster is better, I sit still and stitch beads. Beading is time intensive and has an inverse effect of amplifying timeless content in my mind while I create. The object is beaded with repeated stitches and during its slow creation, I internalize hope, faith, and pleasure. A form emerges that didn't exist before.
