Art has always been a safe place for me - a place where I could hide from my family life or school's social scene or just from myself. In times of pain art was the place I found comfort. For a long time I denied that my work was spiritual yet I continued to seek the spiritual in my personal life. Now looking back, I do not know why I worked so hard to keep my life and my art so separate. All my efforts to separate the two came to an end during a one month period while my father lay dying in the hospitals. I could no longer do the art I had been doing.

The new work was from my dreams, my fears, my doubts. The "Dream Dolls" are from this time. They became my friends and united my life and my art.

The "Dream Dolls" are made from twigs covered in old material, decorated with discarded jewlery and dressed with other things thats strict in my family.
