CCBC Net memories & thanks

My career in libraries began just about the same time as CCBC-Net. I didn't realize it at the time. I'd been accepted to library school at UW and was still waffling in the summer of 1995. I saw Helen Oxenbury and John Burningham that spring/summer in Madison and was introduced to the CCBC. I actively participated in that July 1995 discussion of Walk Two Moons -- it was my first taste of in-depth book discussion. Later that year had the opportunity to meet Sharon Creech . . . again, through the CCBC. It wasn't long before I was completely in love with libraries and children's librarianship. My love of discussing books continues and I'm glad that CCBC net has been a steady presence over the past 20 (!) years. I'll continue to watch for CCBC Choices to arrive in the mail, check the CCBlogC posts, and hopefully visit the new CCBC location sometime in the future.
