New guidelines have been announced for the 2015 PEN/Phyllis Naylor Working Writer Fellowship

$5,000 work-in-progress grant.
Previously, candidates had to be nominated by an editor or fellow writer and to have had at least two novels published. Under the new guidelines, authors can apply themselves and need only have published one novel, not two. Because of this revision of guidelines, the deadline for submitting to this award has been extended to *December 19, 2014*.
The prize is awarded annually to a writer in financial need who has published at least one warmly-received novel for children or young adults.
