Hey All, I'm the author of the 2014 ALA Stonewall Award Winning novel Fat Angie. It's been an amazing year for Fat Angie. She started a creative revolution when I set out across America on a unique book tour. Rather than signingbooks in a few stores, I partnered with indie booksellers to help me findat-risk programs in their community. I literally drove across America in a tiny rental car to workshopwith at-risk youth at no cost to their programs for several months. Many ofyou embraced this journey of empowerment. Many of you have embraced the documentary At-Risk Summer thatchronicled this experience by attending free screenings in select citiesacross America October - November 2014.
Today. Well, it's my birthday. I'm asking people to watch this video. It's three minutes that will make my year. Because censorship cannot be ignored. http://youtu.be/AwISaLe1pTA All the best and rock the word!
