Answers to Your Questions from Gene Luen Yang

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Gene's responses to the questions posed for him. Both BOXERS and SAINTS are rich, vivid, and gripping stories, and I loved both of them on so many different levels. I found myself drawn more to the SAINTS story (less blood, more psychological drama) and wondered which one was more fun for Gene to create. So, it was particularly interesting to hear that he devised the dual storylines because of his own ambivalence in regarding this period of Chinese history.

So, let me just chime in to say thank you to Gene and to CCBC for this discussion!
