Hi. Thank you so much for being part of this discussion Rukhsana. I have been very busy with the start of school so haven't participated like I wanted to. I know I have responded a bit past your window of time, but I didn't know if you got any responses to your question.

"When K.T. first approached me to join the discussion I couldn’t help but wonder if educators wouldn’t suffer some push back from some of the parents about the inclusion of Muslim literature in the classroom. Are any of you worried?"

I will admit that sometimes when I am sharing books like Golden Domes and Silver Lanterns that really focus in on religion, I wonder if I will hear from parents, but so far that hasn't happened. So my answer is that I do worry a bit, but that isn't affecting what books I am ordering or what I am sharing with students. It's just a little worry that bounces through my head.
