Hi. I don't recall anyone mentioning this post by Aisha Saeed about Ramadan http://www.aishasaeed.com/2014/06/ramadan-books-and-plea-be-change-you.html?m=1 but I've been on vacation so please forgive me if it has already been referenced. She wrote of her joy when she found a display of books right before Ramadan at her Barnes and Noble. She also encouraged people to talk to bookstore staff to keep such displays happening. In addition she started a #RamadanReads campaign that resulted in an extensive list found here http://storyandchai.com/join-the-national-ramadanreads-campaign/
Also, here are a few titles that I have enjoyed and/or used with students:
Picture Books Golden Domes and Silver Lanterns: A Muslim Book of Colors (Khan) Deep in the Sahara (Cunnane) I have read some criticism that the illustrations aren't completely true to Mauritania though. I love that illustrator's style so I was disappointed to hear that. Nabeel's New Pants (Gilani) The Swirling Hijaab (Robert) The Silly Chicken (Shah)
MG The Garden if My Imaan (Zia) The Wise Fool: Fables from the Islamic World (Husain)
YA Growing Up Muslim: Understanding the Beliefs and Practices of Islam (Ari-Karamali) non-fiction The Art if Secrets (Klise) not a lot about Islam - it is more focused on being a mystery
