I'd like to give a shout out for the book The American Muslim Teenager's Handbook, (Dilara Hafiz) which was written with much imput from young Muslims. It uses humor to discuss problems Muslim teens encounter, but also to explain Muslim practices to people wanting to know more about the religion.
I also wanted to mention an adult book Rebel Music; Race, Empire and the New Muslim Youth Culture, by Hisham Aidi. The author writes about the rise of Muslim youths' protest of America's war on terror, the importance of music of all kinds (jazz, hip hop, gnawa but also things like Arabic country music in Alabama, punk rockers in Pakistan) in the heightened awareness of a Muslim identity. He also discusses how the American Civil Rights movement & Malcolm X have influenced young Muslims. This is a scholarly book, but teens may have an interest due to the tie-ins with music, and the global coverage.
