Thank you, Hannah, for chiming in with your appreciation of *Charm & Strange*. I love your idea of pairing it with *Liar*. I can imagine the two books prompting an intense conversation about unreliable narrators and the intersection of realism with fantasy.
It's time to welcome Stephanie Kuehn to the discussion. Thank you, Stephanie, for agreeing to participate! Please post any questions you have for Stephanie during the rest of this week.
Stephanie, I'd like to hear you talk about your decision to have Win believe that he harbored a monster within himself. I'm assuming that your studies in clinical psychology played a big role in this book -- does the way Win copes (or doesn't) with his guilt and pain fit a typical or recognized pattern of behavior of abused children?
