I agree, Janice. I had the pleasure of seeing him at events many times and was always awed by his authenticity and generosity, in person as well as in his writing. Edi Campbell tweeted me that "we've lost a library" and I used that quote as the starting point for a tribute that I wrote on my blog last night. I will always appreciate the CCBC for first introducing me to Myers and his work back when I was a student and beginning writer in Madison.
