Women in Sports

I really identify with what Maggie Bokelman complained about: the lack of biographies about girls and women in sports. Women at Play: The Story of Women in Baseball, with nearly thirty chapters on individual female baseball players, has been out of print for many years. But as a way of retelling the stories of some of these players, I’ve published Research Notes for Women at Play, Volumes 1 and 2. Many school libraries have these books, all the way from middle grade through college, and some English teachers use the original research notes when they assign research papers. Volume 2 might appeal to you, Maggie, because two of the six players in the book are from Pennsylvania.
