Re: Nonfiction in book stores

I am enjoying all the excellent high-interest/narrative nonfiction being put out--I hope this is a trend that continues. We stock it like crazy at my library and it circulates well. (I am thinking books like "The Tapir Scientist" by Sy Montgomery, "Handle With Care" by Loree Burns or
"Beyond Magenta" by Susan Kuklin, to name just a few recent examples highlighted by the CCBC).

Are books like these not getting shelf space in bookstores? If not, it's a shame. Many adults enjoy reading nonfiction for fun, and so do many children and teens.
