I'm extracting a sentence from one of Susan Kuklin's very informative messages to the CCBC-Net community, because yesterday I followed her suggestion to read the interview she did with E. M. Kokie. Here's where you'll find that incredibly illuminating opportunity to find out even more about Susan's creative process in developing "Beyond Magenta:"

In that interview one of the references Susan made was about her blog for I.N.K. (Interesting Non-Fiction for Kids). When you read "Photographing Beyond Magenta"  you'll find out about  some of Susan's artistic decisions related to each teenager's account. Don't. Miss. This.

Many thanks to E. M. Kokie for informed, outstanding questions for Susan, and to Susan for continuing to assist us to appreciate "Beyond Magenta."

I am grateful for all who have had an opportunity to read "Beyond Magenta" so far. Many others will read it soon. It's being bought for libraries, community resources, kids who want to know more about themselves and/or their family members, neighbors, classmates, ....friends.
