What an enlightening and important book this is! And how wonderful that we have it to offer to young people who may be questioning/finding their own gender identities or know others who are doing so.

Susan, can you tell us approximately how many kids you connected with before choosing the ones who tell their stories in the book? How did you narrow your choices down? Were you primarily seeking articulate teens or were you particularly interested in a breadth of diversity or what?
