Thanks, Jennifer Groff, for your insightful comments. A good point about girls getting attention for the way they look--especially pretty clothes--while boys get attention about the way they behave, and more often than not it's negative attention. What effect would it have if a boy who
"acts out" a lot got some attention because he was wearing a pretty color and looked good?
