I love the kid-level perspective of this book. I'm reminded of this great aspect of the book from Megan's post where she points out the list of things Morris likes and why he likes them. It's so simple, in a good way, and so sensory. In fact, these multi-sensory descriptions -- swish, swish, swish of the dress, the swirling orange color of the dress like his mom's hair and his cat's fur -- are part of what I appreciate about this book. These descriptions and sentiments strike me as so authentic for this young age group.
