For the CCBCers who are in the Minneapolis region, you might want to visit the Kerlan Collection at the University of Minnesota. We have blown up the spreads of Marilyn Nelson=92s A Wreath for Emmett Till and surrounded the pages with primary source documents of the time period as well as further information about the references in the text and imagery. The exhibit begins with a discussion between Andrea Davis Pinkney, her editor and Marilyn Nelson speaking about the choices that were made in creating this outstanding work.

We welcome classes and families with students 12 and up for this exhibit as well as for the Arbuthnot lecture on May 3rd.
