Forthcoming book -- The V-Word

I followed last month's discussion with great interest because I am in the middle of pulling together a nonfiction, YA anthology for Beyond Words, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, called THE V-WORD.
The core of the book is personal essays by women about first time sexual experiences when they were teens. I can't say much about our contributors just yet, but I am thrilled to be working with a talented, diverse group of novelists, screenwriters, musicians, journalists, and actors, who are coming together to share their true stories for teen girls. The book will also include a Q & A with librarian Kelly Jensen on depictions of sex in YA literature and movies.
The deeper I get into the project the more convinced I am that it is important and will fill a need for young women who want to take charge of their own sexual experiences. I'd welcome any thoughts you might have on the project.
