Hi all,
I thought I'd write during this announcement time to invite anyone who is interested and able to join the Friends of the CCBC.
I am fortunate to live in Madison, Wisconsin -- where the CCBC and this listserv is hosted. Saturday was the 37th annual meeting of the Friends of the CCBC -- and as a former board member and happy watcher of this great listserv, I was wondering if any of you would consider joining and/or renewing with the Friends.
The Friends of the CCBC enriches the programming and support of the CCBC librarians (enabling, for example, them to attend and participate in national conferences and committees).
Cost is meant to be quite modest ($10 / year for students and retirees, and $20 for personal memberships). And new this year is a nifty, secure way to join and renew online. See:

As one of probably thousands of people that have been influenced by the work of this center and the extraordinary staff, I thought I'd plug the Friends group and see if anyone else wants to join.
