PHYLLIS KRASILOVSKY died this week. Phyllis, a former neighbor and friend, wrote THE COW WHO FELL INTO THE CANAL, illustrated by Peter Spier, and THE MAN WHO DIDN'T WASH HIS DISHES, illustrated by Barbara Cooney.
