I am excited about this approach to discussion. I bet we will find that the broad topic will be more deeply explored through the more specific examples. In particular, I am looking forward to the June topic exploring the impact of the Common Core on nonfiction.
During that discussion, I'd enjoy a look at books that take novel approaches, push the boundaries or make use of unique design elements. Some books that might be interesting to discussion include: Jason Chin's Redwood, Melissa Stewart's No Monkeys, No Chocolate, and Annete LeBlanc Cate's Look Up! Bird-Watching in Your Own Backyard.
