Sorry for any cross posting - Dayton Metro Libray hosted their annual Mock Caldecott and Newbery on Wednesday, December 11th. After an all day affair with much spirited discussion the following titles were chosen. Mock Caldecott Winner: Mr. Tiger Goes Wild written and illustrated by Peter Brown Honor Books:
* Knock Knock: My Dad’s Dream for Me Illustrated by Brian Collier, written by Daniel Beaty
* Journey written and illustrated by Aaron Becker
* Eat Like a Bear illustrated by Steve Jenkins, written by April Pulley Sayre Mock Newbery Winner: One Came Home by Amy Timberlake Honor Books:
* The Doll Bones by Holly Black
* The Water Castle by Megan Frazer Blackmore
