Latin_at_s in Kid lit 2014 Reading Challenge

This feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe, December 12, is the perfect time to call attention to something that affects Latinos. We are the largest ethnic or racial majority in the U.S. However, Latinos have fewer books for children written about us or by us. If you want to see more Latino children's literature in the hands of readers, please join the Latin_at_s in Kid Lit 2014 Reading Challenge. The challenge begins Jan. 1, 2014 and ends Dec. 31, 2014.
All you have to do is read children's books written by Latino authors and/or include Latino characters, settings, themes, etc. You can see my Pinterest board (Latino/Latina Experiences in Books) for book/author ideas or see the list of resources on the Latin_at_s in Kid Lit site. (Hopefully you'll see my stories on those lists in the near future.) I will also add more Latino/Latina book reviews on the Goodreads site, under my name, during 2014.
