Thank you to those of you who "explored the scary" for the first part of November.

It's time to take up our topic for the second part of the month: Artful: Best Illustrated Books and Other Thoughts on Picture Book Art.

The /New York Times /has come out with its list of the "Best Illustrated Books of 2013" (see slideshow: http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/2013/10/31/books/review/31best-illustrated.html
). During the second half of November, we invite you to talk about these titles and/or your thoughts on elements and examples of outstanding book illustration.(Also of interest /The Horn Book Magazine's /"Calling Caldecott" blog: http://www.hbook.com/category/blogs/calling-caldecott/ )
