CCBC 50th Anniversary Banquet and Charlotte Zolotow Lecture with Leonard Marcus

There is still time to register for the CCBC's 50th Anniversary Banquet on Thursday October 17 in Madison, Wisconsin. Enjoy dinner with other children's and young adult literature aficionados as we celebrate the CCBC's 50th birthday.
Prior to the banquet there will be a silent auction to benefit the Friends of the CCBC. Authors and illustrators from around the nation have been sending in wonderful and amazing donations for the auction in honor of the CCBC -- autographed books, original artwork, author visits, all will be up for bidding at what promises to be an amazing night of celebration.
Where: Monona Terrace, 1 John Nolen Drive, Madison, WI When: Thursday, October 17 (Auction begins at 5:00 pm; dinner begins at 6:00) Cost: $45 Deadline to register: October 10

Following the banquet, plan to stay for the 2013 Charlotte Zolotow lecture featuring noted children's literature historian, Leonard Marcus. This lecture is free and open to the public
What: "Why Picture Books Matter," the 2013 Charlotte Zolotow Lecture by Leonard Marcus Where: The Lecture Hall, Monona Terrace, 1 John Nolen Drive, Madison, WI When: Thursday October 17, 2013, 7:30 pm (Doors open at 7:00) Free and open to the public
A book signing will follow the lecture, and books will be available for purchase from A Room of One's Own. (Thanks to the bookstore's generosity, all proceeds from the book sale will be donated to the Friends of the CCBC.)
