I, too, liked to use books about individuality and friendship. If you have already used *A Bad Case of the Stripes*, you might also like to use Mary Whitcomb's *Odd Velvet*. This book, too, is popular with kids and also has a nice message. One with a little more obvious message but still very nice is *A Friend Like Ed* by Karen Wagner. Yes, indeed, eccentric friends can be fun.
