I'd like to know what Christina McTighe said to the little girl who thought Wonder Woman was "no one, just a girl." Or to the boys who drop books on the floor when they discover the main character is a girl. And so forth. Boy oh boy.
Would you say, Christina, that the community who uses your library is "typical," or unusually stereotype-rigidified, for some reason? Anyway, it sounds like we all still have a big challenge here. Thanks for sharing your observations!
