Hope this helps...

 Fiction about early man/ice age

Dear all

This summer I will be visiting the prehistoric caves in and around Lascaux. I would like to immerse myself in fiction about early man/prehistoric ice age etc and, who knows, it may turn into an article.

I will be taking with me the following books but wonder if you have any sug gestions of any children's YA or even adult books about prehistoric man/Nea nderthals/ice age etc. I could read. I've done an Amazon serach but would r ather trust those of you who have actually read and enjoyed a book.

Jean M Auel, The Clan of the Cave Bear series (I'll be re-reading this wond erful series which finishes in the painted caves) William Golding, The Inheritors Sally Prue, Songhunter

I have also read Michele Paver, Wolf Brother series Margaret Elphinstone, The Gathering Night

Many thanks

Helen
