Announcement (with apology)

I know I shouldn't interrupt the discussion for an announcement at this time of month, but if I wait until July 1, it will be too late. I hope you will understand and excuse me this once. I am reaching out to teachers and librarians who are working with high school or middle grade youth this summer. Award-winning YA author/filmmaker e.E. Charlton-Trujillo is leaving Thursday for her "At Risk Summer" tour during which she will visit libraries, community organizations and independent bookstores all over the country.

She is doing this in an effort to spark creativity in young people who often lack access to artist mentors. She's traveling on a shoestring budget, and she's not charging anything, and it's not an attempt to push sales of any of her books. Some of the most popular YA authors will be joining her at several stops to be filmed for a feature length documentary. I know this is a labor of love for her, and I've seen how she can connect with any kid who crosses her path. If you are interested in connecting her with the kids you work with, this link will give you the information you need. Thanks for this opportunity, and now back to our discussion of audio books for teens.
