I listened to The Chosen One by Carol Lynch Williams several years ago and was reduced to tears. Same with Make Lemonade by Virginia Euwer Wolff. Both of these had unusually distinct readers, and if I close my eyes I can still hear their voices. Other favorites include: Skulduggery Pleasant Bloody Jack The Wee Free Men Airborn
