I was deeply affected by the audio of Eleanor & Park, by Rainbow Rowell. Narrated in two voices, just as the book is written, this is an audio that enhances a very touching story, one that strikes an emotional chord on nearly every page. The two narrators do a remarkable job of bringing these characters to life and all the others - family, teachers, high school classmates - that they each talk about as they describe their lives. An insightful look into the minds of teenagers, one in a precarious situation and the other in a safer home but struggling with his own issues … their Romeo/Juliet romance will break your heart.

This book recently won the Boston Globe/Horn Book award for fiction; an award for the audio version is certainly a possibility. Connie Rockman
