Scorpio Races is one of my favorite YA audiobooks. The actors are perfect f or the roles - their narration brings the two voices in the story to life, as an audiobook should.

I also liked The Fault in Our Stars in audio because it got John Green's vo ice out of my head and let me hear Hazel's. Kate Rudd's retelling of an alm ost perfect story is excellent.

 Great Audio Books for Teens

With the second half of June upon us, it's time to move from our discussion of humor to that of audio books for teens.

I recently listened to the audio of Code Name Verity (by Elizabeth Wein) an d it showed me again how listening to a polished production can augment my experience with a book that I already had read and appreciated. I tore thr ough Code Name Verity when I read it last year, not able to turn the pages of this compelling novel quickly enough. Listening to the audio book allow ed me to savor the story again and appreciate each instance of impeccable p lotting and foreshadowing. The narrators brought depth to the character vo ices that were already in my head (but with much better accents than I coul d imagine).

Do you have an old favorite or a hot new audio title to share?

Merri
